“But we were lost!” said Pamela, “And Spotty saved us by leading us back home!”
“Lost?” said Mum, “How could you get lost so close to the beach?”
“Well we were!” said Pamela, “We followed a track and it led us away from the beach, and then Spotty sniffed us back! He’s wonderful!”
