Bones can be tested for density. When such test are
done, a wide range of densities can be found, for
example, athletes have denser bones than
non-athletes. There is a link between bone
density and exercise. If we are regular
runners, or sportspeople, our bones will be
denser than those who sit at a desk day
after day.
Patients who lie in bed for weeks lose a
lot of calcium, but this is quickly replaced
as soon as the patient is mobile again.
Astronauts have shown noticeable bone density
reduction, due to their lack of exercise, weightlessness, and neglect
of a suitable diet.
A bone law states: "The form of the bone being given,
the bone elements place or displace themselves in the direction of the
functional pressure and increase or decrease their mass to reflect the
amount of functional pressure."
What this law means is that bones have a
pre-programmed shape ("The form of the bone being given"), and that
that shape will be altered in relation of the work the bone has to do.
Jesus, the Creator of our body, said: "Which of you with taking thought can add to his stature one cubit?" Luke 12:25
By some complex, mysterious
process, bones are predetermined to be the shapes they are, and they
maintain their shapes from the time they form to the time they die.
