“Walnuts are seeds” said Dad, “They don’t hatch, they germinate.”
“Germinate?” said Vicki, “What’s that?”
“It’s something God designed seeds to do. When conditions are just right, a seed starts to grow. It makes its own roots, and pushes a shoot up towards the light, then it grows leaves, and flowers, and one day it makes a whole lot of new seeds, which can all do the same thing.”
