LIVE FOR TODAY

Many people do not care about what may happen in the future. They live for today because they think this life is all there is, and death is the end of everything. For them tomorrow is irrelevant. On the other hand, there are also people who like to make great plans for the future, but don't do much right now. They waste their todays, because they prefer to dream about their tomorrows.
Both types of people don't quite realize something . . .
GOD IS IN CHARGE OF OUR LIVES. He decides how long we live. He orders our days. He determines the time of our conception and the time of our death.

o - the people who think this life is all there is are in for a big surprise at the Day of Resurrection. And the people who make great plans but don't do much with their todays need to realize that the best time to do something is actually right now.
Like the "rich" in lesson 4, we do not last long on this Earth.
NOW is all we really have. If we want to do something, and we are sure it is within God's pleasure, NOW is the time to do it.

"Therefore, to him who knows to do good
and does not do it, to him it is sin." (4:17)

are always coming along, to do or say
things for Jesus. We ought to spot these
opportunities, and make the most of them
as they appear. We cannot do anything about
the past or the future, but we can do something about the present, so let's get busy and make our lives count.
