It just might be that space-travel was well on its way before everything was reduced to the Earth-bound existence again."

"If that was so, wouldn't you expect to find a lot of junk going about the Earth? Look at the stuff we've put out there in just the short time we've been moving out! Satellites that stopped working fifty years ago, and construction pieces, advertising, and the remains of space-stations...its like a junk yard around the Earth!"
