"I wonder how long he's been here?" she said, "Probably most of the night."

"At least he's interested in something" said Dad, "A lot of kids on chemotherapy just give up. I wonder what he's been working on?"

He tapped the keyboard to bring up the screen.

"Good morning!" said Liam's voice. On the screen, a nearly perfect image of Liam's face smiled at Liam's parents. It was all there. The freckles, the blue eyes, the slightly protruding top teeth, and the completely bald head.

"Its OK Mum and Dad," said the face, "I'm not afraid of dying now. I've found a new body to live in. It's much bigger than my old one and I'm freer now than I ever was in that wheelchair."

And as the screen Liam smiled, the Liam in the swivel chair slipped from the seat and fell gently, and dead, to the floor.
