After about an hour of waiting, Garry started to wonder if God
had actually heard his prayer so he said it again, and reminded God
about how long he had been waiting. "Maybe my prayers got held up
because lots of other kids had prayers as well this morning?" he
thought, "Maybe it's a real busy day for God?" But by 10 o'clock
Garry still had no hockey stick and ball and now he was becoming quite
doubtful about whether God really cared about him.
