At nearly mid-day Garry's mother came into the
room. "Garry,"
she said sweetly, "Would you like to sweep the dust round the front
door for me? I'll give you some pocket-money if you do it today?"
"No thanks," said Garry, "I'm waiting for God to answer a prayer. I
might do the job tomorrow." "OK dear" said Mum, and she went away.
