Chrissy didn't mind getting his shoes a bit
muddy. He could wash them clean again when he got back home. But
the mud was a little deeper now, and it seemed to be trying to suck his
shoes right off. SPLUCK SPLUCK SPLUCK went the mud. Suddenly, a
shoe came off and Chrissy found himself standing in the mud with one
bare foot in the air.
