But the Bible says that the Earth does not sit on anything. Job 26:7 says that "God hangs the Earth on nothing". In other words, it has nothing to hold it in place, nothing under it, nothing around it, no strings, ropes or pulleys ... just plain nothing!
And the amazing thing is, the Bible was saying this while everyone else had it completely wrong.
