Numbers 19 has rules about keeping germs under control. People are told to wash themselves, and their clothes, and to stay away from dead bodies.
In Leviticus 13, people with skin diseases are told to live apart from the community, to prevent the disease from spreading. In the case of diseases in clothing, the garments are to be burned, or washed, depending on the problem.
