"Will you hurry him along?" he told us.
We left our gear and went back along the track.
"Sp-o-otty!" we called, "Come along!"
"I know what will do it!" I said. I ran back to the van and got a packet of chocolate peanuts out of my bag. They were a bit mushy, but still OK to eat. I ran back to Pundi and started dropping the peanuts, one at a time, along the muddy track, walking backwards as I went. Spotty crept from cover and began to lollop along the penut trail. He picked them up, sniffed them and popped them in his mouth one by one.
We must have looked a sight, coming down to the van backwards, with the strange creature following us. I heard everyone gasp from way up the hill.
"What's that?" someone asked.
"Its a sheep!"
"No, its a goat!"
"But its wearing clothes!"
" It looks like Samuel!"
"It can't be!"
"Yes it is!"
"What an animal!"
Slowly, cautiously, peanut by peanut, we led Spotty down the track towards the van. Three of the teachers moved aside, so they could catch him. At a signal, they dashed forwards and pounced. Spotty went down growling and fighting, but he was caught.
"I think they will believe us now!" said Pundi grinning from ear to ear.
