Gladstone Gander

The only Disney character I like is Gadstone Gander, mainly because he is always lucky! But he's not just lucky in an ordinary way - he has luck no matter what happens.

If he goes for a walk, he finds money, if he goes into a store, he wins a prize for being the millionth customer, if he falls out of a boat he finds a treasure chest, if he digs a hole he strikes oil, if he eats an ice cream he finds a winning token . . . and when he has a competition with Donald Duck, Donald always loses.

This is the sort of thing that would happen: Donald would manage to sell Gladstone some useless desert land, and Gladstone would find a huge gold deposit under the sand. Or, Donald would manage to sell Gladstone some stupid trinkets, and it would turn out they were part of a priceless collection.

Gladstone, believe it or not, reminds me of my own life. Every time I have been knocked down I have come back better off! God has repeatedly turned every 'bad' thing that has happened to me into a 'good' thing! It is as if everything is turned into a blessing as soon as it comes near to me, and I can thank God for this. I just hope I don't make Donald too mad!
