Preview of Handout:![]() Wording of this Handout:Great big lettersWhen Ray Comfort and I worked in Cathedral Square together, I remember something he liked to say. "Imagine" he said "That every thought you are thinking right now was written up on the wall of those buildings, there for everyone to read!? Would you be ashamed of your thoughts?" And then Ray would say how God judged the people of Noah's day because of "the thoughts of their hearts!" God can see and hear everything, so people may pretend to be good, but their thoughts give them away. There's no fooling God. I meet plenty of people who are 'civilized'. They have respectable lives, they wear nice clothes, they have a house, a car, a boat, they mix with 'decent folk' and they are respected. . but is it all sweetness and goodness in their hearts? Definitely not. The people of Noah's day weren't running about smashing things, and swearing, and committing crimes like mad lunatics. They were well-dressed and respectable. Civilized, 'decent folk', just like so many people you see each day in town. The Bible says "May my words and unspoken thoughts be pleasing even to you, 0 Lord my Rock and my Redeemer." Psalm 19:14 (The Living Bible paraphrase) |
