Preview of Handout: Wording of this Handout:How stable is God?I remember a funny story, about a native, who was brought suddenly to the modem world. When the native saw a light bulb he thought it was a fire, so he tried to blow it out. He blew and blew until he was red in the face but the bulb kept glowing steadily. Then the native decided that he would have to use magic to put the bulb out, so he dressed up in strange clothes and danced round and round the room. He sang, and stomped, and jiggled, and carried on for hours, but the bulb stayed on, bright and steady. The native was exhausted. There are plenty of cynics and skeptics and doubters in this world, who would rather attack and criticize the God and the Bible than believe. They are like the native, puffing and blowing at God's Word, speaking great things against God, writing books and making movies to disprove God! How silly. They will just wear themselves out, and at the end God will still be there, bright and steady. The Bible says: "The LORD sits upon the flood; yes, the LORD sits King for ever". Psalm 29:10 |
