Preview of Handout: Wording of this Handout:Diamonds in the streamThis is a true story. Just before the diamond fever in South Africa began, there was an African tribal priest living in the area. He lived a quiet life, and went about his business, attending to the rituals and making a poor but adequate living. Every day or so, year after year, he would come to the stream which ran through his bit of land, and wait for his camel to have a drink. The animal used to nuzzle the stream bed with its mouth and make a small hollow, and the priest would stand patiently by while the camel drank. And every time this happened the man would notice the shiny stones in the shingle, but think nothing of them. When the diamond-hunters arrived, they offered the man some money, which he gratefully took, and then he moved away. When he happened to come back again, he found that his land was now one of the biggest diamond mines in the world! Are you missing diamonds of opportunity in your life?
