Preview of Handout:![]() Wording of this Handout:How some people are saved ( 3 of 4 )A man I met told me this story about how he became a Christian. "I was thinking about God from time to time, wondering if He was real, or if he noticed me. I was working for the City Council at the time. It was my job to rake the rubbish out of the river Avon, so I spent most of my days by myself. "One day I saw a bit of paper floating on the river, so I raked it in and looked at it. Usually I just throw stuff like this in the bag, but this bit of paper looked interesting, so I carefully folded it and put it in my lunch box. I took it home after work and dried it carefully in front on my heater It was a gospel tract. I read it slowly (because I'm not very good at reading) and did what it said, so that evening I asked Jesus into my heart. I've been a Christian ever since. I'm not suggesting that Christians drop tracts into rivers - that would be littering, and against the law, but see what God can do with a soggy scrap of paper! The Bible says: "The LORD looked down from heaven upon the children of men, to see if there were any that did understand, and seek God" Psalm 14:2 (King James Version) |
