Poems by Kathleen Higham

His Kiss Bible in Rhyme
Did you ever wake up in the early morn feeling as if something wonderful happened? I have. Imagine that it is a kiss from our Lord. Well, it sure is a lovely thought...

She Writes Away the Years Encouragement / Inspirational
This is the story of Debra Highland, a Christian writer I have recently met. I had the honor of reading her manuscript, and of course this poem came to me. It is a terrific book. Looking forward to following this gifted writer...

What the Heck Humor
As we get older aging and pain present on a daily basis. I had to feel the humor in it all and just say, "What the Heck." I will thank the Lord for every day He gives me, and every bike ride I survive...

Complete Christian Comfort / Joy
His Words come to me in a Holy parade. Where a weary soul writes and waits till He comes and writes "COMPLETE"....

River of Life Spirtual Growth
It occurred to me that I don't remember when I wrote that first poem,or where it even started. I do know that God is the Author and Finisher of my life. A life that will never end. Poetry is like a river if only I chose to go with the flow...

The Sight Faith
This week my husband had a serious ventricular tachycardia. He could have had a sudden death from this. He now has a pacemaker and defibrillator. God gave me this sunset the night before his surgery. It gave me peace and faith as I wrote this poem.

God Smiles Christian Comfort / Joy
People send me pictures and ask me to write about the photo. I recently received one of a baby colt resting on her mother's legs. It was so sweet. A mother's lap was surely another one of God's gift to us. So, here is the poem.

Running Friends / Family / Relationships
This is a poem I wrote for my friend Francine who sends me Scripture every day. She is so encouraging in sharing God's Word. I have been so blessed by her sisterly love in Christ.

Time Stands Still Encouragement / Inspirational
I often think of how fast my life is passing. It is comforting to know that someday I will not think about time. I will be with my Lord and Savior. There will be peace and joy unimaginable. These sweet thoughts come with age.
