Poems by Patricia Joan Polhans

Heaven Heaven
Hope of being united with family in heaven.

The Wedding Poem Encouragement / Inspirational
This poem was written for a couple in our church who were about to be married. It gives some words of advice and encouragement on marriage.

The Flower! Spiritual Growth
This poem talks about a flower comparing it to God?s children. If he cared enough to put color into a flower and to scent it with a sweet smelling aroma how much more he cares for each of us to see that we pollinate each other causing spiritual growth.

The Bible - God's Love Letter! Encouragement / Inspirational
The Bible is God's love letter to us. This was written to encourage people to read their Bibles. I like to place this as a bookmark in a Bible when I am going to give it to someone.

My Angel! Friends / Family / Relationships
Tho' this poem isn't about God but it is about family and has Christian aspect. My mother talked about God from the time I was born. She taught me good morals and 'right living.' She was my angel.

Baby Talk! Christian Comfort / Joy
This was written for a lady in our church that had a very sick baby in her womb that she delivered in her 6th month which passed away only a few hrs. after being born. I wrote this as a comfort to her and others who may have had a child that passed away!

Christmas Past! Christmas
This poem is about things done for Christ while a babe in the manger but, then, when he died on the cross all had forsaken him when he gave his life in love!

Little Bitty Tear! Trials / Challenges
This trial caused me to shed many tears for a long time because it was a break up of a 17 yr. marriage. After it was over I wrote this poem. Good things come out of bad situations! And his word says that he shall wipe all tears from our eyes.

Words! Encouragement / Inspirational
We should always speak with love as Christ would speak because once words have left our lips they cannot be recaptured again. God's word says that we'll have to give an account to him for every idle word we say whether it be good or bad!
