I wrote this after being away from home just a few days. I was anxious to leave but more anxious to come home.

MOTHER'S QUILT
My Mother made quilts for her 11 children and 39 grandchildren and also for many friends and neighbors. She cut tiny sewing scraps into little squares and hand sewed them throughout her 90 plus yeas.

I NEVER SAID GOODBYE
The night my Dad died he asked my son to ask me to come see him because he is very sick. My headlights were broken and I told my son to tell him I will come as soon as I can in the morning but he died before morning and I never said goodbye.

I WROTE HOURS AWAY WHILE WAITING FOR MY GREAT GRANDDAUGHTER, ALICIA TO BE BORN. THE GRANDCHILDREN WERE ALMOST GROWN AND IT HAD BEEN YEARS SINCE A NEW BABY CAME INTO OUR FAMILY.

THIS TINY ROSE
After a huge disagreement with my husband that lasted for days I was sitting on the porch swing when my husband handed me a tiny rose.
