Poems About Heaven

A Glad Homecoming
Going home to Heaven can be a glad time for a saint of God

Gone So Soon
I wrote this poem in August of 2012, after a member of my family passed away.

Crowns
Most Christians believe that those who receive crowns in Heaven will cast them at the feet of Jesus.

Occupied And Reserved
The mansions in Heaven may be categorized as "occupied" and "reserved."I have made my reservation.

Sail On, O Christian Comrade
We may sail through one storm after another in this life, but when we reach that golden shore, we leave the storms behind.

Some Things Absent In Heaven
On earth, when we go through troubles,we remind ourselves that we won't have to experience troubles in Heaven.

That Celestial Land
I wrote this poem as the flood waters were receding after a tropical storm.I thought of Heaven and how we will never have to endure these troubles up there.

I Am Homeward Bound
When our earthly trials are over, we can rejoice because we are homeward bound.

Winter Is Nearer, and Heaven Is Dearer
Psalm 90:10 says, "The days of our years are threescore years and ten; and if by reason of strength they be fourscore years, yet is their strength labor and sorrow; for it is soon cut off, and we fly away."
