Through the Storm
by brian © 1999

I came against a bitter storm while on life's road I trod
So I reached into the air to grab the hand of God
But His fingers were too big and I could not take hold
So I slumped down on my knees as stormy winds blew cold
But as I knelt in my weak state the hand of God came down
Then He led me through the storm that had driven me to the ground
After leading me in love through that storm so cold
He said, "you're grip would never last, it's My hand that must take hold
So on my knees I bow my head when stormy winds do blow
Until by faith I see His hand take hold down here below
