WHAT GOD TRULY ASKS OF ME by Stan Arney © 2007 I wonder what God truly asks of me Have you given much thought to this honestly Why was I created, for what purpose Questioning God can be quite dangerous He knew me before my presence on Earth Something I think I realized as soon as birth His Angels have watched over me my whole life He blessed my marriage, as He gave me my wife He created me for works that only I could do Just as He created works specifically for you We each have tasks down the path we are given Though we sin along the way, we are forgiven Each work is to glorify our God Almighty Even if it’s a trial, His hand we can see Guiding us back to where He wishes us to be Accept His gift of salvation is His decree God will use each of us to glorify His name Our God is the only God, we will thus proclaim We each touch lives, every single day Do you ask for God’s guidance as you pray Do you wonder, what does God ask of me To share His word and His love for all to see If we keep His statutes and commandments we know We shall meet in heaven, cause His Word tells us so. |
