Jesus Predicts His Death

To your disciples, you explained,
At the hands of man, you will be slain.

That you'll be raised, on the third day,
Peter took you aside, and did say.

"Never Lord, that's not true,
This shall never happen to you!"

You turned to Peter, and did say,
"Behind me Satan, go away!"

"You do not have in mind
Things of God, but of mankind.

If anyone comes after thee
Take up your cross and follow me.

For your life lost may be,
But now your life is found in me.

The son of man is going to come
And reward each person for what he's done.

Some of you standing, hear the truth from me,
Will not taste death before you see,

The son of man come to the glory of the father,
To his kingdom with angels, and life everafter."
