The Mustard Seed

I looked in my garden,
and what did I see?
A barren space,
For one special tree.

I pleaded to the Lord,
"Please give me a seed.
One for my garden.
A strong, fruitful tree."

The seed that He gave me,
Was ever so small.
I could not believe it,
When it grew so tall.

The birds of the air,
The furry creatures below.
All came to my garden,
In heat and in snow.

I looked in my garden.
What did I see?
My faith grew in God,
Just as grew my sweet tree.
