Whose Religion?

It frightens me to think that on that great and glorious day
That you would miss seeing him because you let religion get in the way.
You think you have to follow all kinds of regulations of man
Instead of only trusting in Jesus and putting yourself in His hand.

The Gospel is very simple if you'd read it for yourself.
Start searching very diligently, take your Bible off the shelf.
He said that "If you seek me you will find me, if you search with all your heart".
But how can you ever really find Him if you will never do your part.

Where does it say in God's Word to pray to anyone else but Him?
If you'd read God's Holy Righteous Word you'd see that sort of thinking is dim.
Just because somebody said to do it doesn't make it right.
Traditions of men won't get you anywhere-Can't you see your plight?

No one else can tell you what you need to learn from Him.
If you keep on trusting in what people say your chance for Heaven is less than slim.
I know it's hard to believe and trust in someone you cannot see.
But Jesus Christ, the Son of God, paid the only price for you and me.

No, good works will not do it, man's religions can't, nor repetitious prayers.
Nor saying the right formula, acting holy, or righteous pious stares.
There are some things in the Bible, that while on earth, we will not understand.
But to learn how to find Salvation is a very simple plan.

Maybe you think that I'm being tough, but eternity is on the line.
How do you know what will happen tomorrow, if you even have any more time?
Then when you stand before Him and say, "Well someone told me so".
He'll say, "I gave you my very (Word). Now depart from Me and go!"

The Word, capital W, is Jesus. He is the only way.
He loves you. For your own sake trust Jesus Christ today.
Just turn in the opposite direction. Run into the arms of the Son.
Then the question of your forgiveness will be finished, settled, and done.

I do not want to offend you, but I have to do what is right.
The fact is God wants to save you from eternal death and night.
How can you refuse such a free, beautiful gift that could never, ever be bought?
Look at my beautiful Saviour who hung on the Cross:And for our sinful lives
He died and fought.
