To My Unborn Son by Judy Reid © 2004 I just never intended That you be born at all. You suddenly erupted From romance in the fall. And now you take my life force, You sap my energy. I don't know what I'd do with A child around my knees. So I have a solution, A fix for you, my dear: I'll just have an abortion, And no more I'll have to fear That motherhood will tie me down And change my carefree life. It's such a short life anyway, And I'll never be a wife, You would have no siblings, So we'll avoid this pain. I'll terminate you, Problem, Your loss will be my gain. |
