Torn
by Kathleen Higham

Are you walking a fine line
Straddling that fence again
God's love verses worldly ways
Needing the glory and power of men

Pulling away from His goodness
A compromise is sneaking in
His perfect will slips away
You are in the grip of sin

And God will surely allow this
But His warnings always come
Are you torn between two lovers
It is a powerful curse for some

When you sit upon that fence
You must look to only one Master
He walks you through muddy waters
Then saves you from total disaster

You never have to be a fool
Just walk away from the curse
Don't sell your soul for pleasure
Then the curse He will reverse

And you will not be compromised
Even when relentlessly sought
As Satan's lies are torn apart
In Christ you can't be bought

Loving God with all your heart
For in Him you are born
Protected directed resurrected
Never ever will you be torn

1 John 2:15
