I DON’T THINK MUCH OF MYSELF by Harry Page © 2006 I don't think much of myself, but God thinks lots of me, I see all the bad within, he shares that he loves me, I know all the care inside but he just cares and cares, While I'm certain I'm no good, his all he comes and shares. God thinks quite a lot of me, he sent his Son to die, Just so I can be with him, and off to heaven fly, Gives me friends that I can love, and that love me too, Gives me love and peace and strength, and his grace so true. I don't think much of myself, but God? He thinks I'm fine, When I think there's no strength left, he tells me he is mine, Tells me that I am his child, though my life's no plan, Tells me that he'll stay with me, that he's my greatest fan. God thinks quite a lot of me, I am his constant thought, Keeps me closer by his side, then by him I'm taught, Fills me with his power for each passing day, Holds my hand so tightly, and keeps me in his way. I don't think much of myself, but God he is my friend, Promised me that he'd be here from now until the end, Sticks closer than a brother, in fact he lives with me, I know my life is blessed by Him, His love for me I see. |
