A Testing Time

Oh God I come to you with this heaviness on my heart,
life is moving so fast and it's hard to find my part.

I know you have chosen me to do great and mighty things,
but when will come the time when this bird can spread her wings.

Right now I feel so confused and I feel i'm standing here alone,
I just need to feel you Lord, let me know away from me you have not gone.

There are doors closing around me and yet no others seem to open,
so what do I do now God, please don't leave me here without a word unspoken.

Do I lack in Faith and Trust? Is that were I've grown weak?
If this is my fall then please word of God speak.

I need to feel you and know that you still care,
I am willing to do whatever it takes, oh please Lord take me there.

You are all I want and your will is my desire,
consume me once again and fill me with your fire.

This place that I find myself in is so dark and so alone,
here the cry of your daughter and bring me back home.
