JESUS, THE PERFECT IMAGE OF GOD

God, your Son is like you, He wears your image well,
He came and showed You love us, and of this love He'd tell,
Told to all around Him, 'I am my Father's Son,'
'I've come so all may know Him, of God, the only one',
'A living, loving, caring God'.

We're made God in Your image but we're not perfect, yet,
We're sinful and we're greedy, we want what we can get,
But Jesus was made perfect, exactly like You Lord,
He wants to bring us to You, that You might be adored,
By everyone.

So God help us to love You, just like Your Son has shown,
He died to show You love us; this love in us has sown,
Our God we want to see You, to show our hearts are won,
We know God we can't see You, so we'll look to your Son,
Jesus, the perfect image of His Father.
