It's like falling off a cliff
When you let the past come in
And God didn't take you there
That life that was all about sin

Thoughts must not be entertained
They'll crawl all through your mind
You'll be back where you started from
That evil place you will surely find

And yet you continue to go there
Completely helplessly out of control
But your salvation it is intact
For God will protect your soul

Oh peace is hard to come by
When your life becomes that lie
Prayers stay locked inside you
And you feel like you might die

No no it will not happen
He hangs on to you still
Remember how He struggled
On that pain filled bloody hill

But if you're truly willing
He'll even fall down with you
Then pick you up holding on
There is nothing He won't do

Satan says you've done it all
Come back and do it again
But you have the strength of God
More powerful then all men

Hold your Bible to your heart
If you can't bring yourself to pray
He knows it and understands it
He'll carry you through this day

I know it's hard to believe it
He doesn't care what you have done
It was all washed away and buried
A promise bought with His Son

Hear Him whisper in your ear
Please come come back to me
He knows what's inside your heart
Come back let go be free
