So Close To God by Kathleen Higham I do not hear God's Words But I feel them come to me Someone walks inside my heart For a moment that person I see It can be very disconcerting When a person I hardly know A glimpse maybe just a second Understanding comes before they go I do not hear God's Words But through me they will flow And every time a path is crossed I write them because it is so That person fills my every thought Then I walk inside their heart And words pour out effortlessly And it gives me such a start I do not hear God's Words But He tells me who you are When I write lovingly about you I sense that He's not far I can feel His presence A bridge from soul to soul I do not hear God's Words But for me He has this goal Write every word I give you Touch every heart that's mine Do not fear this gift from God Everything from Him is Divine I do not hear God's Words But in your heart I see You are so so close to God And you bring Him close to me |
