When God Speaks

When God speaks do you listen to every word
Do you know its the truth or wonder if its absurd
When God speaks do you know He will lead you His way
Or do you go it alone, do what you want and say

When God speaks do you turn a deaf ear
Is His way, your way, perfectly clear
When God speaks to your heart do you turn away
Do you realize the consequences that you will pay

When you speak to Him is it only an emergency
Do you only come to Him after a tragedy
When you speak to Him is it to only fulfill you
Do you even realize that is the wrong thing to do

When God speaks He tells you what you must do
Follow Him for His way is absolutely true
When God speaks listen, pay attention, and understand
For you now know His will truly first hand

When you speak to Him you must do it each day
Set time aside every day for Him to pray
When you speak to God just ask and it will be
But God will do it in His own time you will see.
