Why? by Brenda Sydnor © 2005 Sometimes I believe if I close my eyes tight long enough, when I open them you will be there. I guess my heart cannot accept what it finds too painful to bare. You are always in my heart and my mind, but that isn't enough for me. I long to touch you, to hear your voice and to hold you so tenderly. They say "Life is but a vapor in the wind." And I guess in God's eyes that's true. But why couldn't God have taken me, instead of taking you? God sees more things in Heaven and Earth, than we could ever conceive. Maybe he knew you'd be happier up there, with him in the Heavenlies. |
