My God Will Pray by Kathleen Higham There are times of anger I feel myself walk away Knowing exactly what I'm doing Not allowing myself to pray It is a time of anguish As visions come creeping in Not allowing myself to pray Walking in acceptance with sin There are times of anger And with it comes this fear Heading in the wrong direction Far from Him, who was near And always I will stumble There is no comfort zone My heart trembles in that place For what if He leaves me alone There are times of anger The frustration of my own will Not allowing myself to pray But He loves me, loves me still There can be no recovery Until, on my knees I fall Allowing myself to pray As always, He hears my call Yet, there are times of anger And I ask myself, why Not allowing myself to pray What a foolishness to deny But, never will He leave me Even when anger rules my day When I am helpless in my sin For me, my God will pray Romans 8:26 |
