Our New Home

For every brick and every nail
for every brush and every pail
for every stair and every rail
we thank you, Lord, yes we thank you, Lord.

Each cheerful room each polished floor
each lock and key each solid door
for all these things and much, much more
we thank you, lord, yes we thank you, Lord.

For panes of glass and window sills
for all the craftsmen and their skills
who built this house with all its frills
we thank you, Lord, yes we thank you, Lord.

And as we live here through the years
with all the laughter and the tears
with all the happiness and the fears
be with us, Lord, yes, be with us, Lord.
