You I Find by Kathleen Higham Thinking You gave me a ministry So many people suffering in need Poetically You have gifted me Helping to plant the seed Settling in to write Your Word Thoughts come and embrace me That I am the one suffering And I know that You can see The depths to which I have fallen My heart is sick with fear Self loathing is my condition now And still You gather me near Thinking You gave me a ministry For I am wanting to give But my words come to haunt me About this life that I live Oh, peace continues to elude me But, I pray in earnest to You I am so wanting to serve Questioning, I serve, but who Needing the joy of salvation Promising today to be pure Fighting the battle every day So often I'm feeling unsure Thinking You gave me a ministry When the poems fill my mind Your Spirit again awakens me For in them, You I find Psalm 51:10-12 |
