Flawed by Kathleen Higham I am a multi-flawed person Dividing cells became me A heart beating mindlessly Eyes closed, unable to see This was an uneventful miracle Taking place so long ago Remembering the growing process And still, I did not know That my God so adored me A multi-flawed person for sure When I had failed Him completely He came, so I could endure Wishing I had been faithful At least unselfish for a day Again, my God adored me Not one word did He say There is no condemnation And my eyes are open now Praying that I will please Him If only I could somehow He hears my quiet sorrows When I whisper in the night In my wretched condition I am beautiful in His sight I am a multi-flawed person But, I thank Him for the choice No matter how much I fail Him He comes to the call of my voice. |
