Sound the trumpets beat the drums
our Lord Jesus comes
Ring the bells sing songs of praise
be joyful through these Advent days.

Play the fiddle blow the horn
our Lord Jesus Christ was born
tinsel the tree and cut the holly
light up the lights it's time to be jolly.

Never forget whose birthday it was,
He came to the world to suffer because
we sinners are helpless and go easily astray,
and Jesus He bled our sins away.

Sound the trumpets beat the drums
our Lord Jesus comes
Ring the bells sing songs of praise
be thankful through these blessed days.
