Do you have time, to think on the wonders of nature
to greet the springtime with more than just a glance?
With heart soul and body a new world to be astounded with.
The smallest leaf, the tallest tree, the tiniest insect.

The first crocus, the snowdrop, fresh green leaves.
Tulips and lilies of the valley
bees, ladybirds, and the may-tree.
Do you have time to stay still and reflect on who it was
that created all these wondrous things?

Can you remember that first Spring
when you were in love for the very first time?
A time of overwhelming wonder - a time of emotional agony
but for everyone a time of awakening.

But we who are old, have not lost the Spring
we have more than a memory
we have a promise that we will all meet together
in a new and better world ... where Spring is eternal.
