Would I Fall Again?

What if I stood strong and brave,
In the midst of ocean waves,

If I watched You calm the sea,
Or watched the earth come to be,

Would I fall again?

If I saw Your thorn pierced brow,
If I knew then what I know now,

If I saw You cry each time,
When I leave Your word behind,

Would I fall again?

What is the path I would choose
If I stood in Peter's shoes?

Would I have the faith to stand
With my Savior hand in hand?

Would I fall again?

Before we stand righteous tall,
Do we have to in sin fall?

If I watched hosts move a stone,
Or caught a glimpse of Your throne,

Would I fall again?

Would I have the strength to stand
If I touched your nail scarred hand?

If your tears fell upon my lips,
Still down a slope would I slip?

Would I fall again?

Each time I fall you pick me up,
You brush me off and fill my cup,

You cover me with Your grace,
I look again to Your face,

And Yet I fall again.
