You may feel lonely,
Lost and cold.
Longing for the loved one
You once could hold.

To bring them back
Is the desire of your heart
You believe you can not bear
From them, being apart

But remember my child
They are not gone for an eternity
For they've just gone on a journey
To a place your eyes can not see

They have gone up the mountain called Zion.
High above the clouds.
They have gone to the place
Where God's love abounds

And when His son returns
With a trumpet sound
He will lift us up so that our feet will never again
Touch earthly ground

That is when we will join
The Heavenly choir
And be given
Our one true desire

To finally see Jesus
And before Him stand
As He wipes away each of your tears
With His Gentle hand

Then He will lead you
To the ones you have missed
And He will watch as you rejoice with them
And bless you with a kiss

Then you will know
That those who left you behind
They didn't leave forever
But, only for a time

It is our blessed hope
It is God's promise to you
He has kept a place for us
And we will all be there soon

So, thru your tears call on Him
And praise Him in your day of grief
For He has brought another saint home
To where they will find healing and relief
