Christ-icle (A Christmas Poem)

Even minds were bitter cold in deceptive Decembers of old
and santa's social slay (a plague) was an absolute fright
red indeed, as society's needs were palpably bold
so Lord please forgive them for losing sight
of the greater gift, the celebration of You;
the book of Luke you surely MUST read
as His Holy Spirit provides a perfect clue;
just thaw Him from your cultural freeze
and the sad disrespect you've shown
from that cold spear of ice, please
remove Him now, begin to atone
for slowly fabricating fairy tales
instead of celebrating His birth
for hunting down ideal sales
not admitting His worth;
and only one celebration
should enter the mix:
Merry Christmas!
