Quiet Please, I'm Thinkin'

Lately I've been thinkin' about thoughtful things for doin'
And I thought I should be thinkin' more of doin' things like this.
You may think that I've be thoughtless or
think less about my thinkin'
But the thoughts that I am thinkin' now I
really must express.
Thoughtful things are often thought less of than they are thought of
But I think that thoughtful people usually think of thoughtful things.
Thoughtless people rarely think of
thoughtful things to think of
But to thoughtful thinkin' people what a
joy it brings.
I never started thinkin' 'bout the things that should be thought of
'Till the thinkin' process took me to the
age of twenty-three.
That's when I caught a glimpse of Him Who
gave us minds for thinkin'
And I started thinkin' thoughts of Him
and what He meant to me.
He told me to be thinkin' 'bout the
things that really matter
Not to set my thoughts upon the things
that thoughtless people do.
For thoughtless things would lead me to
a thoughtless way of thinkin'
So the thoughtful way of thinkin' is the
way that I will choose.
