Good to Know by Rose Kammin © 2007 Good to know we're kept in thought Of the isolated Son who brought Hope to me, a fallen man Who is entered into more than plan But action taken against hell So that all may know so well The Savior who's enthroned on high So that all may glorify Good to know we're bought by blood Which washed away our sin (like mud) So stained upon our meager lives It is on such things our heart thrives Though through Spirit Life, we know That our faith-walk, our God will grow He's got us woven in His tapestry But why bother with men like me Good to know we're liberated Even from those who've, on us, hated No matter what they think they conquered Our God is strong to push us onward He's broken chains of stubborn steel I know He's here; I know He's real He's saved a soul like me from death And turned my doubts to fleeting breath Good to know we're never wrong To pray and praise God all day long No qualms from my lips speak of this Alas, there are some who find it amiss I regret not all of them can I reach But my mission is that they hear me preach If not by words, then actions still I'm called to Jesus, then until Good to know my Savior's cried When on the cross for me he died Rose up from having been entombed and freed Those ensnared by devil's weed Captured sin, put it to rest No more should it take me, my best To heaven He did rise, so now I live for Him as I know how |
