Through the Storm by Joy Wieters As I descend to dungeons deep, I know that God his promise keep. Even though I am nervous, I know that I will get through this. Because my God is always there, Though the storm gives me a scare. God will always be with me, I ask Him to let me see, Him there through the shroud of night, There in heaven's morning light. The storm will pass - it always does. And life again shall be as was. The hum-drum days seem more a blessing, When the storm I've been assessing. Funny we must experience storms first, To realize our life's not the worst. And now I fall to be forgiven, And realize it's by You I'm driven. God I know You'll always be Here close holding on to me. Whenever I let go of You, The storm's hard pressing - pull me through. I'm hardly sure which words to say, To thank You for my everyday. I'll try to make the best of them, For each one's precious as a gem. When possible keep storms away, But through each I will live today. If storms raged through all of creation, I'd pray for Job's determination. Because whether I die or live, My life is Yours to take and give. |
