Why Listen to a Lie?

Have you ever been the one
On the receiving end of lies?
You hear, "You'll never make it."
God asks the question "Why?"

Only if you don't trust Me,
Will you not live happily.
True, alone you can not,
Become who you're to be.

I know God can't make junk,
He never has, He never will.
But He does know you deeply
And He loves you even still.

Satan has spread lies,
But they're only in your head.
God sees the full perspective,
So the the lies be dead.

You're not the same as others.
You must listen to your call.
Shut out the lies of Satan,
Because they will make you fall.

May lies not hold you captive.
May God set your heart free.
Be blind to lies and gossip.
God's perspective may you see.

For your sake to do not question,
The plan God has in mind.
Live with pure perspective,
And truth you will find.
