Log
by mike bullock

The painful log is in your eye
As you denounce another soul
For being lesser than yourself
Not meeting your exacting goal
Pharisees were just the same
Judging all who failed their test
Even Jesus lost their game
Crucified at their request.

We must serve the least, the best
Befriending all, no matter what
God sees us as perfect ones
Pure, unblemished, not a spot
As we're hardly adverts for
The way that Christians ought to be
Surely we should focus on
More of what is really me.
