BUILD
by Jim Strickland

Build David's tent in the hearts of all men.
Build, for I promised I'd do it again.
Build with the many; build with the few
Build while the ark is once more within view.
Build it in worship; build it in praise;
Build it with songs to the "Ancient of Days".
Build it in triumph, by day and by night;
Build with a purpose, so it will be right;
Build it with people - the true living stones;
Build in the heart and the flesh and the bones;
Build with compassion and build it with joy;
Build it with children, with girl and with boy.
Build it with parents; with young and with old.
Build with the timid and build with the bold.
Build it in season; in winter and spring;
Build it with all of the people I bring.
Build with all nations; with black and with white.
Build with the weak and with those who can fight.
Build with the sick and the halt and the lame.
Build and bring honour to My Holy Name.
Build in the summer; build in the fall.
Build with My people - the great and the small.
Build it with vigour; build it with haste.
Build in a hurry - there's no time to waste.
Build it with faith and with hope and with love;
Build to the glory of God, high above.
Build when you're hungry; build when you're not.
Build when exhausted, hurting and hot;
Build it with skill for the nations to see.
Build until all of My people are free.
Build up the tent until all is fulfilled.
Build it my people. My message is BUILD!"

After this I will return, and will build again the tabernacle of David, which is fallen down; and I will build again the ruins thereof, and I will set it up: Acts 15:16
